Lisa Baker
Guest Instructor - CMG
Lisa attended the Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2003 with the dream of opening her own salon. After graduating, she came to work for Paragon as an instructor and groomer. One year later, she opened a salon on the northeast side of Grand Rapids, Michigan called North Bark Pet Grooming. Her 65 year old mother helps bathe the dogs but mostly enjoys playing with the pets. Lisa loves to work with pets that have special needs such as geriatric, easily stressed, dog aggressive or hard to handle. She loves them all.
Lisa worked part time at Paragon, heading up our evening class sessions, bringing real world grooming and business skills to the training room floor. As Lisa’s own shop grew, so did its demands on her time. Lisa now works exclusively at her shop but still returns to Paragon often. When she is not grooming, she volunteers to help organize fundraisers for C-SNIP, a non-profit organization for low cost spay/neuter. Lisa also enjoys going to grooming shows and seminars to further her education. Lisa is a Certified Master Groomer. |
