LORRI KELLER

Personal Director / Lead Instructor -
CMG

Lorri is one of our original graduates from 1993. She ran her own home based business for a number of years. She then went on to work within the framework of a pet superstore, starting at the ground floor. She worker her way up to become a field salon manger cover a five state area. Today Lorri is our Team Leader on the training room floor, overseeing up to 30 students and team of 6 trainers.

Lorri has always been aggressive in her own quest for knowledge. She loves to learn and openly shares her knowledge. In early 2000, she began competing at grooming shows around the country. She even went so far as to purchase a poodle and an American Cocker, so she could study her craft intently and works with a local breeder who has some of the top Welsh terriers in the county. We have all watched Lorri struggle and grow in the ring and we are proud to watch her succeed as she moves up the ranks with wins and placements.

Lorri has always stayed in close contact with the Paragon School but it wasn't until 1999 that she joined the Paragon team. She not only is a great trainer and manager but also an excellent stylist. In 2002, she earned her Certified Master Groomer title under the voluntary testing organization, International Professional Groomers' Association. Lorri attends trade shows, conformation dog shows and grooming clinics. She always discusses her contest work at grooming competitions with her judges so she can improve her eye and skills in the future. Lorri studied with Sarah Hawks and Margery Good, preparing a wide range of dogs for the Montgomery County Terrier Specialty AKC Dog Show. Her grooming specialties are terriers and sporting dogs but she loves all breeds.

When asked, "Why do students enjoy working with you?" Her response was, "I try very hard to make learning fun every day. Adult learning can be stressful, but we always need to remember we have the most fun job in the world, working with pets!

Lorri is a wife and mother of three. She and her husband live with a Standard Poodle, an American Cocker Spaniel, and a cat. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. With three kids there is not much time to call her own!
