Misty Fowler
Training Floor Manager
Misty Fowler began working at a boarding kennel at the age of 15. Six years later she began her grooming career. While attending the University of Kansas, she secured a job in a busy shop. From Kansas she and her husband moved to Michigan where she worked at a chain store, first as a groomer than as the salon manager.
In 2000, Misty was offered a job at the Paragon School as an instructor. While at the school she became a Certified Master Groomer under the voluntary testing organization of the International Professional Groomers Association. She also got involved in contest grooming, competing with poodles, mixed breeds, Kerry Blues and Irish Setters. Misty has won multiple competitions across the country. She was also invited to be a certifier for IPG. Recently, Misty’s goal to be on GroomTeamUSA has come together for her. Misty earned a place on GroomTeamUSA for the last two years. In 2005, she was also nominated for the Congeniality Award.
Misty currently resides in Michigan. She works for the Paragon School as the Training Floor Manager. She heads up the Advanced Training Programs for existing professionals. She lives with her husband, Rick. Their fur family includes; Morgan, a Doberman Pinscher, Bacardi and Sambuca , their Standard Poodles and Whiz, the cat. Misty enjoys spending time with her husband and their four legged family when she is not grooming. They like skeet shooting, playing ball with the dogs, going for long walks or just relaxing at home. |
