Canine Terminology
Comments: This is one of the most complete and well done glossaries we have
ever seen. The illustrations are incredible.
-Melissa
Description: Who but a veterinary surgeon, a dog breeder, an international dog judge, a trainer of dog judges and a canine administrator should and could present a book like Canine Terminology? Harry Spira is all those things and has done just that. In comparison with other publications touching on the same subject, this book stands out for its clarity of definition and terminology.
The many illustrations and diagrams by the Misses Davidson are a delight, sensitively drawn and perfect in detail.
Presented here is a fund of knowledge that will be of assistance and interest to judges, breeders, exhibitors, veterinary students and all who own and care for dogs. The standard of dogs in Australia is as good as or better than anywhere in the world - as attested to by visiting judges and well-known dog fanciers: now this book will establish a similarly high standard in Australian canine publications. I am sure that it will become the definitive work in this field, not only on Australia, but internationally.
